Thumbs down is it just me....

that thinks this or do others agree has this site developed somewhat of an unpleasant element of late.

Some of the derogatory comments that have been made on some threads such as referring to people as "c*cks" or c*unts" is just unnecessary. Regardless of the particular subject being discussed in a particular thread, I just don't see how people can deem this to be appropriate.

I am surprised that the forum moderators have not nipped this in the bud.

Boatmad is a great place for like-minded people to discuss the sport / hobbie we all love and I feel that such unsavoury threads and comments are having a negative impact on the overall "feel" of what is a fantastic website and forum!

Ho hum....

Make some threads that are worth reading then! It's a forum, not a magazine - it's whatever you make of it (or whatever ginge lets you. )

Point taken!

Dont get me wrong, I am up for a bit of banter as much as the next bloke and think that such banter adds to the character of this site. I guess I just feel that some of the recent threads and comments have been less banter and more, well just plain nasty!

For me, some conversations are best had in private and insults should be saved for face to face encounters (or at least they shouldn't be made unless prepared to do so!)

soapbox moment over...... back under my rock I go
