Jarvis of St James Champagne is a crook!!! BEWARE!

Over the weekend of the Cowes festivities you may all of seen the Champagne tent run by a very charming man by the name of Tim Jarvis.

During the CTC my Mum decided to enjoy a few glasses (I still think bottles!) whilst we were all out racing. After tasting a few myself when I got back we decided to order a few cases and placed the order the same day. We paid the man and were promised a 2 week delivery.

It is now the end of October and no Champagne. After a bit of digging around we found out that quite a few people have been scammed by this charming man over the years and police have been notified and trading standards. The company report reads more like a horror story!

Thankfully Mum's card is protected against fraud.

Please be aware at shows etc... when you see the Jarvis St James champagne tent the man is a tosser!!!

I can’t believe people are still being sucked in by this guy and that he continues to get away with it. I have warned everyone about him and still he turns up at these powerboat events. Who let him into Cowes for God’s sake?

We had a huge problem with him in more ways than one in the Round Britain Race. I had agreed for him to supply the Silver Plate Trophies which amounted to many thousands of pounds. He wanted cash but I refused to pay him until the goods were delivered and then only on an Invoice.

Six months later I had the company who made them come onto me saying that he had told them that he couldn’t pay them as I hadn’t paid him! Fortunately I had got him to sign a proper receipted Invoice saying he had been paid in full and sent them a copy. Can you imagine what would have happened if I had just paid him in cash with no receipt?

Eventually the Police came round to take a statement, they had had dealings with him before and they were indeed horror stories but I never heard the result of the Court case. This man is VERY bad news.

By the way Ben, the Police told me all about that case. He has never repaid that man his money. So much for Justice. I tell you what, one day he is going to do the wrong thing to the wrong man and then he is going to get bounced and hard!!

Tim Jarvis is back

Just can't believe I received this email from him today

From: tim.jarvis6@btinternet.com

Subject: Please very urgent....Tim Jarvis

How are you doing? This has had to come in a hurry and it has left me in a devastating state. My family and I had a visit to Spain unannounced some days back for a short vacation, unfortunately we were mugged at the park of the hotel where we stayed, all cash, cell phones and credit cards were stolen off us but luckily for us we still have our passports with us.

We've been to the Embassy and the Police here they're not helping issues at all and our flight leaves tomorrow but we're having problems settling the hotel bills and the hotel manager won't let us leave until we settle the bills. Please I really need your financial assistance..Please, Let me know if you can help us out with EUR:2.000

I'm looking forward to hear from you.

Thanks.
TIM

Either it was him, or he has sold his email contact list to a Nigerian.
