Yep! it is starting to come along now! I was going to start it up tomorrow but my boss has been dropping little hints like "are you going to do some f**king work today or what?" so I am gonna sit around the office and do sod all instead of my boat tomorrow.
Whats happening with your Kona?

Probably Weston Scooters. He has a bit of a museum. I think he has all of the Lambretta range ever made on show plus lots of parts and shiny bits.

Lambretta
Good Lambretta SX200s or TV175s fetch over £5k now.
If anybody ever comes across a TV200 (or GT200 as it was sold in the UK) then you have found the Holy Grail of scooters -unrestored will fetch £6k - mint originals then name your price but they are now fetching not much short of £10k. I know - because I sold mine back in '75 for £35!!!!!!
Plenty of genuine Lambrettas and Vespas always on EBay and plenty of dealers around. Shed and barn finds are fun as now spares are available again and they are so easy to work on.
Any other ex mods out there??
Chris

I had a sx200 in 1971....paid £130 for it which was quite a sum in them days....was the dogs bollocks...all chromed up with crash bars, mirrors, union jack seat, square eights, chromed body work....also had an ancilotty big bore exhaust which sounded great with a few holes drilled in the box....also had a huge pollished coach wheel trim on the back...i looked resplendant sat on it in my parker or crombi, two tone trousers, doc martins & ben sherman shirt...
It was very unreliable but it did not matter cos it was a great fanny magnet.
Had it 12 months...nearly lost my liscence then sold it for £175 to a mate....wish i still had it
Got a pic somewhere
