Milk Float
Does anyone know what happend to the jet powered milk float that sold on ebay a while ago - had a viper mk 102 engine in I think.
What other comedy vehicles could ya put a jet in - a hurse perhaps?
I always thought it'd be a laugh to have one in the back of a transit - that'd be fun at the traffic light grand prix.

Still got that JT8D-7A But you can hook it up though. Dont fancy the chances of getting through the MOT on noise. Think it would look best on a tipper as you could display the engine better & less chance of FOD as it would be mounted higher.
Edit: be even better if the bed could still tilt...............
Viper Engine....................total loss oil system not built for long distance flights, dead dinky though -bit like my peugot's oil system

I think an afterburner would be important - got any military stuff lying around. 
Found an Allison T63 for sale in the UK - missing some fuel system components though - would love to stick that in a smallish boat.

Nope, fuel consumption goes through the roof as you know. Think rocket power....... far more volatile & dangerous.
The govt should have a lot of surplus as we have just wound up our programme recently.
Shouldn't really need afterburning as long as you can hold it on the brakes. tyre creep could be a problem?

Did ya see the turbine engined "motorcycle" on telly the other night?...... he described what happened when a vehicle pulled up close behind him at the lights and got its front bumper melted....how cool is that?

Was the catapult in it's first encarnation wasn't it. Went ok with the volvo but flew with the Chevy in it. The went even bloody quicker when ya dad fitted the GT. Think is was a 23' just a tad short for the power really. What does your dad remember.
I always reckoned the gas turbine should have gone into Keith Dallas's Cougar "Aristocat" that would have been a rig. Shame they only ran expeimental class for it. Thought it was brilliant. Got any Pics

All joking aside I think Gas Turbines are the way to go for high output requirements they make big diesels look..........oh so heavy.......even petrol inboards.
As your Dad will know transmissions always been the pain but things have moved on a great deal.
If you are seriously looking, get hold of a American Paper called Trade-A-Plane. Sort of like Exchange & Mart But much bigger & well stocked for all kinds of stuff. Core motors, control, FCU's ect, ect They have a web site http://www.trade-a-plane.com/index.shtml but the hardback is better, spend ages on the Lav with it!!  You can get it delivered here by subscription no problem. There are some pretty good Helicopter motors that are dead dinky & really push out some ponies. I'd love to play with something like that but the Old bank fkker dont have the same feeelings.
