Hi Ian,
Well spotted.. it's a very nice little car, only two improvements i can think of cockpit adjustable damper control and the new 4litre GT3 RS motor, wonder if Porsche would build us one??. Maybe in the next generation

Peter

a matchbox dinky toy...hahaha

Wish I still had my old Yamaha 1989 FZR 750 OWO1...rare as the proverbial "Rocking Horse Sh1t". Handles like a bus went like a scolded cat off a tin roof though and the best part it had brakes made of"wood" so stopping was always a challenge in itself.

Had to give it up when I lost my license for speeding...253Km/hour in a 60Km/hour zone

Note to all of you out there; Courts, Traffic Wombles and Judges don't see the funny side of such actions, they are just really boring individuals.

I was very sorry to see Simoncelli fall at the Malaysian GP yesterday morning, he lost his helmet during the crash and was unavoidably hit by two other riders bikes in the accident. Seriously injured he was rushed to the medical centre for emergency treatment and the decision was taken to cancel the final race out of respect.

Two things upset me:

The crowd were notified of the cancellation of the Final and main event but no explanation was given to them for the reason the decision was taken. Understandably the crowd were not happy and voiced their dissatisfaction by booing loudly. The real reason for the cancellation should have been given to the crowd so that they could have left quietly and respectfully in what were to prove the last and final minutes of Simoncelli's life.

Later yesterday afternoon, unaware of Simoncelli's condition I Googled for information and found "Wikipaedia" at the top of the page with a past tense description of the rider and showing his life between two dates, his birth and ultimately his death yesterday!!

Some of his family and relatives would not have even of been notified and yet "Wikipaedia" were insensitive enough to have immediately updated their internet based information on the young rider!

This event cast a shadow over my weekend, but my heart goes out to his family and friends at this very sad time.

Totally agree Jon, Simoncelli may not have been liked by some of the GP boys but no one can deny he was a racer, Moto GP have lost a flambouyant and hugely talented sportsman .
As you say a sad time for all family and friends, my sympathies to all.

Sold my recently restored 1980 Yamaha RD350LC a couple of months ago and already itching for something else. What is it with bikes? When i have one i dont use it and when i sell them i yearn for another! Perhaps its seeing the empty space in the garage that reminds me to fill it!

The trouble is, i really do not know what to get next.

I thought anything less than the 640 was considered a bit "Julian Clary" Pete?
