I heard a story once from someone quite high up at Honda about a particular customer that kept going back to his Honda dealer complaining about his small 4 or 5hp outboard, he kept returning it with a completly screwed up prop and damaged gear case, he said that he never once ran it aground or up on the rocks and used it carfully. The dealer could get his head round it until cutting the story short, it was found out that this guy had been using it to cultivate his lawn and thought thats what the propellor was for etc etc...if its true...dumbass.

Can u imagine the difficulty of trying to hold an outboard upright and the sight of that ha

yeah I know it sound like it to me too but ive been told that story twice now, once from the honda guy and then from someone else at Cowes. So im not sure- if it was true then im usre the engine didnt last long at all, cooked itself and died, wrecked its gearcase and its prop

I heard about a V6 one in a Kart when I was racing them, but it only ran in hill climbs in Jersey I think (Boulay bay or something), as Jon said difficult to keep cool!
