The new version of Messenger (Messenger live - 8.0) is even better for the video and voice calls. Only a beta at the moment so if anyone want and invite let me know and will send you one - also gives you the option to sign up to other 'Live' services like Live Mail - Hotmail except designed like outlook with everything 'drag & drop' - much better than the old hotmail.

I tried the MSN system last night with a friend in the UK and the sound quality was appalling! Skype was more like a live link to the room next door! Not saying the MSN system is crap, maybe it was just a one off. But so far - not impressed!

Try the new version - i find that the quality is really good, but it will depend on your BB speed to some degree (and that of the person on the other end)

The latest version is the new 'live' messenger - to accompany the new set of windows 'live' programmes such as live hotmail, live.com and a host of other mainly useless stuff. It was neccesary to get an invite from someone that already had it but in an earlier posting someone has found a link to a website with it, however you may still need an invite to log in to it once programee installed if so let me know and will send one to you
