Something to do in Southampton

A colleague of mine has to waste about 3-4 hours in Southampton on Friday afternoon before catching a plane back to Belgium.

Apart from finding a bar and getting pissed
can anyone recomend anything for him to do?

I don't know 'cos I'm just a Northern Monkey.
(I don't think he particularly likes boats)

Many Thanks

If hes feeling flush

He could always hang about near the Meridien studios at northern bridge and get mugged.

Pop down to St. Marys and get a permanent smile put on his face by Boris the Blade.

Nip down to Derby Road and pick up a nasty rash.

Or head straight to the airport where its safe and get pissed for a couple of hours.

It sounds like a fekkin boring place down there......

There's either nothing to do.....or you lot just don't know about it 'cos you're allways muckin about in boats

Okay then.....seems like the only thing to do is for him to get pissed.....can anyone recommend a nice waterside pub where he can bask in the English sunshine, watch the boats go past....and get lagged.

Town Quay has a couple of pubs where you can see the water from whilst supping a pint.

There are lots of places to go in southampton, its just difficult to give some one directions as they may get lost and wind up down an alley with their throat cut.

You just gotta respect the "Sarfampton Chav Scum".

Nah, the real reason no one is giving any recommendations is cos us Sarfampton dwellers are roight pissed off with norven monkey's comin down an messin are gaff up an spewin on our stone pavements an pinchin the toilet paper out of our public lavvy's to send ome to their ma's.

Take it from me, there's nuffin to see darn ere, nuffin appenin at all, in fact youd be better orf havin a day in Sarfend on sea. Dey got amusements there im told!

Well after messin up your pavements, pukin' everywhere, nickin' the loo roll and knockin' you out the premier league you went and got your own back by blockin' up the:

M3, M27, M271, A34, M40, M42 and the fekkin M6 all through Friday.

Dropped me mate off at that flying field of an airport at about 4 and then sat on all of the above motorways for the rest of the day.

Wife phones me about 8.45pm "are we having a chinese tonight" she says.........."only if you meet me halfway luv....."

The real problem with Southampton is that it is so far from London. I vote we move it closer to Brighton, and a few more miles inland, where it is more convienient to drive to!
