I've had a completely clean licence for all of my nearly 12 years of driving (touch wood), the only time I've ever been stopped by the police was because Burty was sitting in the back of my car without his seatbelt on. I have however received three document producers for rolling a car, being rammed off the road (actually off the road and up onto the pavement) in a road rage attack (which included me getting a good few punches in the face till my nose bled like a good one) and knocking over a two year old child, none of which was my fault hence the clean licence!!!

10 maybe 15, dunno lost count!!! Didn't really hurt much and all I was thinking was how funny it was that in ramming me off the road he's stoved the whole side of his 5 year old corsa in and broken the headlight on my 12 year old f**ked anyway metro. I never even punched him back I just kept pushing him anway and he just kept coming back for more untill he thought he'd broken my nose (but it was just a nose bleed), then he drove off. My nose stopped bleeding about 5 minutes after he drove off and I got a new headlight for £7 from the scrappy. Wonder how much his car cost to fix!!!

Due to the law being the way it is you can only be done if you admit to the offence. When they send you the doc's in the post for the speeding offence simply dont reply. They can take no further action until you have signed and returned the documentation. So bin it and in 6-12 weeks you will get a letter explaining to you that the police will not be taking the matter any further. My brother has done this after being advised by a copper friend of mine.
He also told me how to get away with drink driving IF you are not visibly pissed! All you need do it insist you have had no more then 1/2pint and if you fail there is no way that they can tell how many units of alcohol you have had to produce the level of alcohol in your breath/blood. When the case goes to court they will not be able to proove that you had more than 1 unit of alcohol before you got behind the wheel and thus you will be found not guilty. They science is... everyone is different, Captain Chaos could have one pint a lager and give a reading of 70ml of alcohol to 100ml of breath and Gav could have 5 pints and give the same reading. All depends on how fast you soak it up! So there is no scientific way of knowing how many units of alcohol someone has consumed.
Another, MORE RISKY way is to keep a small bottle of whisky in your door. When you get pulled take it out of the car with you, shut the door and drink it in full veiw of the onboard camera. When they ask " have you had anything to drink Sir?" you reply "yes I have just necked a bottle of whisky when I got out of the car" if they say they believe you were drunk before you necked the whisky simple say "you prove I was pissed before I got out of my car!"
Simply does it!

Not aimed at you Mr Rob but anyone who takes that as a serious suggestion is a w**ker and needs to get a grip on life.
personally speaking I think there should be a 0 alcohol limit.
Did I leave my beer on the dash

You can't "get around" them, but it's useful to understand how the system works, and what your rights are.
The strangely named www.pepipoo.com has a wealth of information, and is rather more authoritative than some of the blather here!

Burty, I dont know what is more impressive.
The fact that you were doing 160mph or fact that your were able to take a picture while doing it!

Advice to date is suspect.
However, a good lawyer will usually be able to get you off. The Police are typically not in a good legal standpoint, and a lawyer will know the things to ask and things to do. There are so many 't's to cross and 'i's to dot, usually the proceedure has not been followed or the chain is incomplete. It is a huge effort to complete the paperwork correctly, and there is usually a spot where the procedure has failed.
Before you do ANYTHING you need to talk to your lawyer.
£60 is nothing, 3 points is massive!
My lawyer is good. He checked paperwork and found the operators certificate was out of date, and I got off. It all depends on the value you attach to the points.
My licence is clean.
Drinking is just wrong if you drive. If you drink and drive you deserve to get bust.

My brother reminded me of an incident that happened at Putney involving you and the Police. He seems to think it was the '84 or '85 Putney Calais. He and Clive Jones were crewing for Del-Buoy. Need I say more?
