with appologies to the beatles

Yesterday,
All my troubles seemed so far away.
Now it looks as though they`re here to stay.
Oh I believe in yesterday.

Suddenly,
There's no protection like there used to be.
Polycarbonate all over me.
I've gone and lost my canopy.

Why it had to go I dont know -
Its gone away.
I read the wash all wrong,
Now its gone - my canopy.

Canopy,
Upside down in the sea.
Only my helmet protecting me.
Ive gone and lost my canopy.

Did you need some Help, do you think you'd have had more luck if the canaopy was made from Norwegian wood and did you Twist and Shout when it came off

Why ?
Is here anyone that actually likes Beatles?

If yes then FYI even ABBA has made more money and sold more records.

Hard Rock still for me so Abba And Beatles are out.

Actually yes, I do.

The wee song from boatmad member 'Fab Four', is having a laugh with one of the racers who inverted his boat in guernsey last weekend, wrecking his canopy, so a bit of a private joke, and probably the reason you 'didn't quite get it'.

Jon I knew about the wrecked canopy.
Still "I can´t get it" why someone likes Beatles, now theres a ton of other Great Rockbands IMO from G.B that kicks those mommyboys asses allover the place.
Black Sabbath being one starting from B.
Or From Beatles Era the Animals.

So apparently you didn´t get my joke either...comparing The Beatles to Abba, well actually there´s nothing funy about it, both were only "Hip Bands" during their era not real Hardcorers.

Dont tell me you also like Beach Boys Pet Sounds album

Yes I do, amongst many others. Luckily, opinions on what music is 'good' or 'not good' are just that, 'opinions' and mine appear to differ from yours.

Now lets try and think of a few great, 'globaly renouned' Finnish bands.............errrr...

Whether you like Sabbath, or the Spice girls, it's your call, I really couldn't waste too much time worrying about it.

Live & Let live (or 'Live & let Die' if you're a McCartney fan)

, whose most devoted fans were some you might know..Motley Crue and One Axl Rose, their success ended with the drummer getting killed just before the LA Stadium gig (which they never did) and the driver under influence for the crash was one "Vinnie Neil".

plus my Fav
Hurriganes
who with an impromptu tune called "Get On" hit the tops on pop of the Rocks and blew even Judas Priest away.
Later their lead guitarist joined Flashbacksliders whose lead Vocal singer (president for Bandidos Mc) got killed in a street shootout in Helsinki between Bandidos Mc and Hells Angels.
Now all but two of the original `Ganes are playing somewhere higher.

Then on the dance side there loads of hardcore DJs that has hit the tops of the charts, Darude being one of the biggest being no1 in Britain USA and Australia for weeks.

Ps Never heard Sibelius Finlandia ? :-)

And Yes [Musical] taste is personal that I have to agree with Jon.

Being a former Professional DJ I have to have a certain knowledge of music...It wasn´t a comparison...just a quote that I would hit spot on what kinda Jon likes to listen.
Me on the other hand have quite a different music taste than Jon but I´m sure there´s something in common too...like Pink Floyd or Phil Collins/Genesis.

You might find it funny but Darudes Studio owner& partner learned the ropes from ME while he was in his teens.

PS ever heard of Dick Dale he has quite a variable repertoire too... ?
