My guess either an early Tremlet or Worbold for circuit racing, engine approx 1987 or earlier.

That looks like an awfully long shaft on that motor. How will it handle with the prop sitting that low down in the water? Not very well would be my guess.

55kts??? I had a speedo like that once!

It's cheap, but it's still £205 more than I'd pay for it.

Well I think it has a "Bristol, Early Marina" look about it possibly more the former, Dont think it's a trimlet as they had a much greater Vee.
Wolbold dont think so, the latter ones were glass but a whole lot different & far more up to date in the lines & single seaters only.
Apart from the Marina range designed by Ron he was never keen on building sportsboats.
Could be a Malta import just from the amout of flat ali foot plate incorperated into the build ................

Yep an early Bristol same sort of age as the Tremlet & Worbold, doubt very much the engine is the age advertised more like early 80's rebadged with 87 decals, The boat properly set up with 80 hp should do in excess of 55 knots easily.

No Footloose was sold over a year ago as an unfinished project, but the engine was fitted as part of the deal and when we tested it It ran like a dream 50 mph with a ratty old prop, I was hoping the buyer was going to back out so I could complete it, but in retrospect it would probably have taken another eight years to complete.

The new owner has almost completed it now and I'm going on its maiden seatrial to do some prop trials, hope to see at least 55mph. Not bad for a mid eighties boat with a single diesel.

I bet someone on this forum has actually got some photo's of her in her racing heyday when she was fitted with twin mercruiser 3 litre's, they could possibly even tell us what the racing top speed was.
