What a Great day!
First time I've been to a Ski Race and I really enjoied it!
There was a newly rebuilt 300 promax that slung the rod through the block, in to the fuel pump, causing it to catch fire,Exciting
260 with a suspected injector fail, so no compression and nackerd piston.
Some really awesome boats there!
and the sking! Absolutely crazy!!.........I wana go

This happened to my 260 a couple of weeks ago, wire came off injector, I run the mad intake which fires the injectors before the reeds so didn't do any damage , just down on power.

That was abit lucky then!
I should imagine the cylinder with the failing injector was running very lean though as the injector for the other cylinder in the same air horn isnt really jetting much fuel into that half of the intake.
either way much better getting a little bit of fuel+ oil than none at all, alot cheaper!
its always good when the problems as simple as plugging a wire back in

What a great days racing, in unusually calm conditions for allhallows-on-mud, good 2 c buddy driscol running things like a dictator, but the day was still entertaining, with as mentioned above one boat catching fire, another loosing bits off their well kept trailer and to top it all somebody loosing their prop - who did the prop up?? and what has happened to the lovely ladies (using the term ladies very loosely) who used to run the bar?

I forgot to say that i had a really good day yesterday, i would love to get back into ski racing (its just all the travelling i dont miss, it only took 10 minutes to drive home last night) i did help out yesterday with the lunching and recovery. I took Team Hotshots boat home for them and managed to reverse it onto Barry's drive without hitting anything!!!
AYC always lays on a great day
Well done AYC
See you next year
You never know i might be back in a boat by then (if my dad buys one)

Yes Really
You did post the Support Race but not the all important Kidds that are the back bone of this Sport! i used to observe for Wayne Maunders in Bambanio's and all the way upto Junior's! and a few other people as well, Russell Cox, Julie Frame, Simon Faulkner, Graham Faulkner, Barry Frame, i think my Dad even ski Raced once or twice!!! Tim Gray (he was a excellant skier, we WON over all at Allhallows one year in the Twin Rigg Double Trouble, the video clip is on You Tube) Darren Kirland & Karl Brookes (RIP) there are many more sorry if i left you out
Everytime there is a Race who ever posts the write up leaves out the Kidds

Morning Dazza,
The reports and write ups are usually posted by people who where at the race or have got the info from some one there on the day. The offical results are usually published at "some" point in the year on the BWSF and skirace.net sites.
So as you there, you could have got "all" the results (pinned to a wall on/in the club house or spoken to one of the lovely time keepers) and put them up here . . . .

Allhallows ski race
Stop bitching each other guys, we wouldnt want to set a bad example to other types of water borne racers would we!!! It was a great day very well organised by Bud Driscoll in some very difficult personal circumstances for himself as well as the tradgedy of Karl. So remember!!!! As President of AYC would like to thank all the members for their help on the day and also every competitor, it was remarked on by members later in the bar when every one had left that they had enjoyed the days work and had not heard one complaint. The rules state that a Bambino race must be held and if sufficient time is not practical it may be incorporated into the support race, the reason there was a seperate Bambino race was because a competitor in the support race also had a skier in the Bambino race and as we had the time due to the co-operation of competitors we ran a seperate race. OK. However i know that not all venues will, and i include Ramsgate in this as there will NOT be a seperate Bambino race.In conclusion well done my skier Jake Frame and boat 555s Sam Clapson a great race. See you all at Sunny Hunny.
Barry
