Seems to be the general considered opinion, the problem is with my job the diamond race just isnt practical. I'm just going to have to use the first race as my training.

A few people might be going to Geel the following weekend or there's the Viersel practice day at the end of April.
Unless you've seen it you won't believe how rough it is there. Some of the F2 boats in the Worlds in 2009 had a ton of lead shot in their boats plus their ballast tanks.

I didnt think that would make too much difference for genk
My main plan was to just make sure it had a full tank of fuel for every race! Wanted to try and keep the weight as low down as possible hence ridding weight with the side trims and weighty seats etc
Bad idea...?
Or maybe just disconnect the bow tank pickup from the tank, seemed to work well at Weston!!

Just found this website for the European Championships:

http://www.jwrt.be/wp/

Doesn't look like many camping places, so if anyone was thinking of going I wouldn't leave it too long before booking up.

The best of luck to all competing British teams .

I really wanted to have a go on that infamous piece of water in Genk but Sam's still not 100% fit after her injury in training at the Diamond Race. That, plus my broken ankle not coming out of it's cast until Wednesday means that we just won't be ready in time.
