Hi Jon
It does get very tight when running down the canal, especially when the water roughens up after the first few laps, the spectators do and can get very wet from the wash, it has been known that a few have hit the walls on occasions, known affectionally as a Belgian bruise, but these girlie ski races can take it.
Bazza (Hotshot) may be along later to give you a drivers view of the race.

Gotta agree with these guys here,
The racing is close near to joe public,
I went to Torquay last year with to be honest not much interest in the ski racing, but after that weekend i've changed my view.
I was well impressed with the racing and also how well these boats are presented, and how much bottle have these skiers got!!
I am hoping to put a boat together if only for F3, my only issue is all the racing seems to be south coast-ish.
Has there ever been a F4 class say 90hp or 1100cc is get new blood in to the sport??

Is there any chance of this class coming back then?
Why did this class die ?
How hard would it be or how many boats would be required to start this again?

I thought that the 150 promax i have didnt fit in to any classes?
If you remember Freedom went through this with the very same engine.
What other engines would i be up against?
Would want to be competitive though Rob

you have 2 choices open class in the main race which is 50mins long at present no one else runs in this class but you would still be in the same race as the Formula 3's so you could have a bit of a race on.
or in the support race for 35mins and there is one other phantom 20 with a 150 on the back that already races in this class

Seems these days that there are too many classes in ski racing, especially as the numbers competing are no longer what they used to be, hardly exciting when all you have to do is finish to get a trophy

So what your saying run in the 50min race and win every time with the phantom,
The other class could be a problem as we dont know how std my motor is as far as a 15" mid with a sport box, we cannot prove this is the way it was made out of the factory.
I really want to run somthing though.
Our thought was a 16 Marshan which i already have to get started with a 90 yam if a lower class existed, i was only thinking of the towing from where i live to complete a season,

You will never be eligable for formula 3 with the engine you have, open class is there for people who don't have access to a compliant boat but just want to have a go, you can still have some good races on the water but won't count in the results
