Think it was to enable it to run in the 2013 worlds in Tenerife, have a look at my photos from Stone, there are a few Bernico TS's running with what appears to be removable noses.

All very interesting.

Actually great to see such a strong fleet and so many well turned out rigs - puts offshore racing to shame I'm afraid.

On another note - still would love to design a boat for ski racing - lots more potential there I think......

Its a fairly exclusive club, fairly equal shares between Cyclone & Bernico in GB, Europe Bernico is the preferred weapon of choice with a few Aussie Force boats.
As for a strong fleet, keep the rules simple, costs reasonable, formula's to a minimum and hey presto they come racing !!

Be nice to get involved in - but the cost of developing new boats now......

Have had a few enquiries over the years and have nearly supplied a couple of boats. One that would have been interesting was a narrow beam stepped hull RIB - that would have been different!

Now you are suggesting playing with the very thing that makes ski racing easy, the rules !!! Ha Ha

Sounds a bit like my Banana Shark 770. You're welcome to have a run in her, I'm only in Gosport.

Really think that a high performance RIB would potentially be a great solution for waterski racing - and actually don't see why it would be a problem with rules???

Not fundamentally changing anything - certainly not in hull shapes. But are gaining in extra buoyancy and then allowing a more open boat that could at times be really useful.

I've now stopped ski racing due to a new job that requires me to work a lot of weekends so has made it difficult to continue. However i completely agree, i would have loved your boat. An not too surprisingly now i don't need a race boat, i have purchased an open boat as its much more user friendly (would have had a rib however the other half isn't too keen on the looks) she did never see yours though, however i did show her a phantom evo and even that wasnt enough to convince her
