Novice basic entry

Can someone tell me whether I can enter the basic race with a novice skier AND observer? Not had chance to look in rule book and I've just been asked the question as my sister and her friend are interested in doing a few of the basic races this year.

yeah, sorry.
I'm unsure mine and other peoples plans are at the mo but wouldnt mind doing a couple of the local races with my sister if all else fails.

yes dude, i'm pretty sure you could all be novices as long as the organisers were satified you were safe. skier will need an x though

regional races

when applying for your licence or renewing your licence you sign to say you have read and understand the current bws rules the below is under regional rules,also for new drivers you will require a sbda taken at appriate center and a rbda taken by a race committe member,i hope this helps please try contacting a bws race committe member agiain all current emails and tel nos in back pages of 2011 current rules for any further answers

The crews shall consist of one or more skiers, one observer and a driver. They shall meet the following
criteria:-
• Observers shall be aged over 16 years and in possession of a current BWSW Novice Observers
Licence (minimum)
• Drivers shall be aged over 18 years and in possession of a current BWSW Novice Drivers
Licence (minimum)
• All crew members shall be current members of British Water Ski and Wakeboard
