Lightbulb Sorry??

I have not joined to promote the website, I am promoting ski-racing mate.

I make no money from the site, I paid for the design, the hosting etc?

It is new, to help support the sport, make people aware of boating etc..so whats the problem???

Your very first post was asking people to join your web site, subsequent posts are asking to use photos from here, on your site, how is that not promoting/enhancing your site?

How long have you been a member here? How many posts have you made? how many of those have been advertising/asking for material for your site?

Did you even consider asking whether if it was OK to do all this before you posted?

Is this blatent touting?...yes, politeness & courtesy costs nothing!

And lastly, I don't know you, so 'Mate' is probably not a suitable word to use when discussing our relationship.

In conclusion, a simple 'please may I' would have been nice.

Hence the removal of a load of your posts, which BTW wasn't me.

Yeah

Well YES the posts were to promote the site and the sole reason for people visiting the website is to promote the ski-racing world.

I apologise for 'Butting' into your forum.

I posted the postings to get people to join the site, to get it more active as all we have in our sport are forums. No results posting, pic posting etc, no news to read etc, so that was why i created the FREE site to offer, Free publications and links for people in the sport etc.

I really dont know why I bother, there are a few people in the sport who are persitant on keeping it a small, unnoticed sport. These people then ask why the sport isnt doing well and why no new faces are joining, why the people that were in are leaving. You have just answered all of these questions.

I dontated a whole week to building the site and I require support and members to get the site notice.. I gain nothing! Just a few people being able

So what it I ask for pictures off other skiracing members?? I would do it face to face but I couldnt make it to the race.

Sit in your little ship Mr Captian, sail the waves!!

So asking permision of a site owner before 'touting' was simply too much to ask of a superstar with intensions of saving the sport & possibly the planet?

Fine!

And you've put a WHOLE week into building your site! how much time/money do you suppose Boatmad has cost over the last 4 years!?

...and how much money do you suppose Matt & I've received back from it?...I'll give you a clue...F*ck all!
