RIVER SAFETY
The River Trent is a busy commercial waterway and therefore respect to other users must be shown. Part on the event will be run at low water therefore don’t expect cruisers to alter course to suit you. Signal clearly your intentions and pass with care.
The stretch of River between Torksey and West Stockworth is relatively narrow with numerous sharp bends and bridges in contrast with the fast open straights beyond West Stockworth. More details are provided in the drivers/ observers course notes issued at signing in.
This event is also designed for fun so if the teams wish they can have twin skiers and also the skiers can change places to complete the second part of the event.
Race boats will be running to the equivalent of Regional race licences.
All boats must carry the following: -
Fire extinguisher
Mobile phone
Anchor
Paddles
Bow line
Life jackets
Insurance BWSF approved (NO CRAFT WILL BE ALLOWED TO LAUNCH WITHOUT PROOF OF INSURANCE.)
All race boats will be scruntineered to BWSF rules.
