Ski Racing

There seems to be a growing number of Ski racers joining the forum, what are your thoughts on having a section dedicated to ski racing?

I've been a little dissapointed in the amount of use the three club sections get (UKOBA, ORDA, BIBOA) so I may ditch them, and add a ski racing section instead.

comments please.

I may be off the mark here due to lack of research and inherrently low brain power, but I find all these different race classes quite confusing. I'd love to have a go at some sort of racing but wouldn't have a clue where to start. Is there a list of the classes and what boats/engines fall into each category?

OK, I'll add a Ski Racing section and give the other 'club' sections a little longer to get up to speed, particularly with ORDA & UKOBA, I reckon it's probably fairer to let the racing season get under way before condeming them.

As with the others, the new section will be on probation to check out how much traffic it generates, or doesn't as the case may be.

ski racing

Great news to have a ski race section especially with the world titles in June should generate a lot of interest. All the info for this event can be found on www.skirace.net and click on worlds site.Pleased ski racing has justified its own spot.

I've raced at venues where the Ski-Boys shared our meetings (& visa-versa), they're a great bunch of nutters.
Get-em on board.
