Tow Wanted for 2013 Season

A very keen and fit skier is hoping to find a pull in the Support Race for this seasons eight race national series. Essex based and looking to compete in the Veterans Class.

Just to confirm, the Support Race is 35 mins long and consists of: Veterans (35 & over), Junior boys & girls, Open Class and Ladies. In the Support Race almost any boat from an 18' Phantom to a Bernico TS can compete.

Alan skied last season behind a 21 Cyclone with an Evinrude 250HO so something like that would be ideal.

For anyone considering entering ski racing for the first time there are some differences in the crews licencing and boat scrutineering.

For example, you do not need a dive certificate or a dunk test as there are no canopied classes. If your boat is a common recognised make then you will not require a measurement certificate but the maximum length allowed is 6.5m. There is no official training to undergo before you are allowed to race with up to 300hp and in recent years the annual cost of the licence has been £35.

I have been racing in the class for skiers aged between 12 and 14 pulling my daughter and we had ten entries last season. This season we will be running six offshore plus two inshore sprint venues.

im free for all races exsept Reece's race in brit kids...
willing to tow boat to every race as long as skiier pays entry fees and shair of fuel.... if no one is intersted then we will not bother racing this season, so please let us know asap as need to know whearher or not to get the boat out of bed.
