well the overall height of the motor is 190mm, to the top of the spark plug cap, the clearance in these boats is 195mm!! but i dont know how low the engine has to be mounted?? the only way is to make a cockpit moulding that has a raised section to allow it to fit if its too tall...........

Its not revving freely at w.o.t if ya know what i mean? Its only a mixture adjustment! You'll know when its right it will all of a sudden rev its nuts off! You'll prob find its prob been ticking over to long and if he held it open long enough it would clear! THink im gonna have one! Well cheap they are!

Got radio gear from previous model boats. Just need drive and tank really? But like you say if you were to buy the whole lot in one go !

I have built a few R/C boats and use this place to order parts:
http://www.pandanmodelboats.co.uk/acatalog/index.html
They are primerally 'fast electric' suppliers, but the Robbe, and Graupner propshafts are used in nitro modelling.
And check this place, never used them but have loads of stuff:

Yes it does, but it's kind'a hard to tell with an 'unloaded' two stroke, and i'm sure it's only in need a 'wee tweek' of one of the jets or summat.

Agreed. Once it's loaded up it'll be fine. Making it 2 stroke at max throttle on no load is a sure way of frying it when it's loaded up. It also sounds a wee bit cold and that'll make it tend towards 4 stroking more.
