these are just a few of my granpas boats
now on display in a place called beale park near reading
all full operational and built to scale,
all were hand made around 30 years ago from anything he could find and all are operational via radio control
most of the boats are between 5-6ft long
the most impressive being the princess all portholes cut himself and swimming pools ect, will try and get some more detailed shots
he also made the waverly which my dad reconditioned 5 years ago and actually uses the paddels to propell itself
thought some of you mite be intrested

each one took around three years to build but obviously that varied
the boats he made were
the badgery palm (container ship)
the st essetle
the sea princess (passenger ferry)
and oil tanker
and the waverly
they have to be seen to be apreciated, but on the water they look fantastic
ill try and post a pic of me an my father wen we recond the waverly up in portishead lake, and mite even try taking it out again as it needs to be or she will cease again
