Not sure how many of you knew or met him , but unfortunately he has now died. Aged 89

Thanks for that,as i own the late Cmdr Peter thorneycrofts HORATIA and have a general interest in the familly and the Chiswick works i found it interesting.He had an interesting carear by the look of it one of the old school.thanks again.CW.

Thanks for acknowledging my fathers recent death.
He was a very important part of aluminum boat building development in the early 70s to the mid 80s.
With companies such as Enfield marine, Sims Aluminum as well as 2 tecnical books on the subject he did indeed make an impact on the industry that I believe owes him a debt of gratitude.

Hi Martin ,you were indeed lucky to of had such a man as your father.
As he is unknown to most people would you concider telling us more about him.i am sure you must have some pics etc that will be of interest to us,are you following in his footsteps.If not no worrys, cheers ,CW.
