Wow Graham,
I recall that trimaran model used to knock around Don's home office in Hursley, seems like an age ago.
I also remember going down to Mercury to see the yellow fan assisted thing.
I have got all of the Atlantic Sprinter stuff somewhere hidden away too.
Managed to find an original 70's Shead Design sticker to put on Cnzano for Cowes next week. Might even dig out my old jacket !
You must have so many other gems hidden: What about "Kermit", the big green sports fisher, didn't it have W16 CRM diesels in? We followed Ted Toleman off Anvil point in that in the rough, I have some great pictures of him in the air !

Cor ! I remember that one Graham.
I first saw it at Souters pontoon, scrutineering for the CTC.
John Teale, ex MB&Y was involved in the design I remember.
I never reached its suppoed potential though.
I wonder what happened to it - all that lovely ally.

Probably went the same way as Flying Jackie.(On the scrapheap)
John Teale is good fodder for Monster & Co.

Remember her being in the Belsize boatyard in Southampton, back in my college days, so around mid 80's.
Belsize always had some interesting and crazy boats around - but was one step away from being a breakers yard itself.

It certainly was!
I believe it was powered by some Liberty aircraft engines in its rum running days. Just a couple of diesels in it when I was aboard.

No doubt that Aronow bore his monsters, like the 'thing' of your attachment for the U.S. Custom.
I Do not post the photo of another monster of Don to not arouse the wrath of Pennpromo that uses it as his avatar .
It was a clever use of a copier.....Agfa?

Following trimaran saga
The charm of the trimaran has often troubled the dreams of glory of designer and drivers in search of glamorous success.
This could be an example of soviet design.
However another use of photocopiers of the rivals Codecasa vs CUV.
Pilloried, the designer: Bacciagalupi (Who is? )
the builder: Codecasa
the driver: Floriani

That one came from the same designer as the 'Drakkar Noir' boats. The man behind that project, Pierre Magnan, could not find the sponsors to realize it. If I remember it right Faroux built a blowboat of similar size with the Monocat design instead.

Pat Weisman posted some pics of that one somewhere on OSO with a giant 'snorkel' on the deck trying to get some air under it. Hideous!

Wonderful! Strange the Italians haven`t done the same for Corbelli`s masterpiece,or maybe 3-pointer submarines aren`t in fashion out there.
