Those were the days!

See: http://www.britishpathe.com/record.php?id=41070

Over 50 boats took part and the names.........
Earl Mountbatten, Earl Lucan, Lady Aitkin (what a woman) Clive Curtis, Dick Bertram, Soni Levi, Don Shead, Sir Max Aitkin, Tim Powell, they just go on and on and of course Surfury. What a time that was never to be seen again, powerboat racing was obviously very sexy in those days.
