Tramontana 2

Very many years ago I recall driving her down form The HAmble to Poole with John Walker. At that time she had a pair of big Mercruisers in the back, on behalf of Tim Powell. She is a terrific old boat and its great to see the likes of her being re-built.
Hate to think of the costs of keeping an old wooden boat like that though ...

If ever there was a boat that would qualify to be called a 'beast', surely this would be it. Anybody know what motors are going to be installed?

Nige
from what little information Wolter leaks out she is to be fitted with 2 high power diesels..
now hear this when TP sold her she had 2 large Mercruisers she was then fitted with a gas turbine with which she tried in Wolters words "to take off"..this was removed and temporary power was supplied by outboards?????
decided to restore major operation including much new ply sides and deck...
he is a devil to tie down and very erratic response to e mails but has promised new pics...I am holding my breath.

Good news about the Tramontana II.
Too bad that instead of her older sister in Italy is rotting in absolute indifference and stupidity of the owner.
