Over a 100 knots in 36 foot rib is very impressive....are they standing up at this speed or do they have proper seats now?

The boat has a further development of the jockey seats - they work very well

I raced against a derivative of that RIB cat thing in Viareggio in Class III 2 litre - I believe it actually ran on tubes fixed to the main part of the boat with GRP hulls glued to the tubes - weird but it sort of worked although I'm told in some circumstance it totally had a mind of its own and is probably what stopped development of the idea - I'm sure someone on here will fill in the gaps or tell me I'm wrong any minute!

I think thats a different boat. This is tubed version of the hydrolift cr36. There was also a hard version in norway with a 1485 hp gass turbine.

That must've been like a bouncy castle in a bit of swell!

I remember there was a big article on Ribcat in MBM when I was at school, I did a big GCSE art project on powerboats including a big painting of Ribcat. That was about 14-15 years ago

There was couple kicking about in the early 90's. Jonathan Lucas had one (it then did the rounds) as a 2 litre boat, and a French dude ran one with a 300 V8 Johnnyrude in 4 litre, it was at the worlds in Guernsey ('93??) . (Neil won that year) the French geezer looked like a worn out ageing Rock Star.

I remember seeing a yellow one in Viareggio in Italy at the Worlds there a few years back - odd thing!
