Stepped hull i believe.
Only saw it race once at allhallows
Based on a concorde i was told but not 100% on that.
I am sure that would be clarified at some point.
I think ideal boat for a 90 HP engine.
All the best.

Correction on some info.
They boat i saw had a 130 yam i think so it may not have been a 17?
Also about being based on another boat i think its wrong and i appologise to all parties mentioned its just what i was told once.
good luck and sorry once again.

ABKast 17
Built in Kent by Andy Bennet, brother of Phil Bennett on this forum.
Andy had a red one, Jay on this forum had a blue one. You could have bought a complete boat and the moulds on ebay a short while ago.

£700 on a trailer was a bargain! is it red red or more orange out of interest?
i have a blue one, like blackbeard said with a yam 130 (cheers bob) but should go well with a 90 too....used it last year and it went well, i loved it! just had carbs cleaned going to try another prop and lift the engine up another notch and see what happens. should find out this weekend.
beautiful shape boat and handles better than my old 18ft phantom, will try add a photo if i can???
hoping to lay one up in the next month of so.

how fast?.... about ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! lol sad to say i did not have speedo fitted i would guess not much under 60.... i think andy said he had 63mph??? will see what happens with the new prop on the weekend.
Think the steps help as for the flat bottom think maybe its something to do with making it more stable, the reason i say that is because the newer RNLI ribs we done some work on also have a flat bottom.
HA HA.. just got the papers out i have on the abcast think i may have a marine survey on your boat? looked orange in the photo but in the discription it says its red....is it still on a 4 wheel trailer? any numer on the side? C27? could have been removed or metal filler cap near the engine well?
The report was made on 29th march 2004 the boat and trailer, 2 bucket seats and built in tank was valued at £5,500 (not including engine)
will try get some footage of my demo boat over the weekend may be able to get in on youtube or something.

Looked like a potential contender for OCR, We even modified the min length rules so that it complied but then they disappeared.
