Absent Captain

Ok so spill the beans ... Who was it ?

Taken from page 10 of "Practical Boat Owner" Dec 2004

i Quote:

"An empty 17ft Rib was on the rampage in the solent last month
after its crew were thrown out.
Luckily they were unharmed and were able to make their way ashore to raise the alarm.
The coastguard helicopter identified the UBOW ( unidentified bag of wind) off Chichester Harbour and a crewman of a Gosport rescue RIB managed to board it and take control

Their response:
"Not only were the three casualties very lucky, but the boat didn't incur any damage either" said the MCA

We urge all RIB users to ensure their lanyard (kill cord) is secured to the vessels driver

Guess we are all excused then ,,

and we can make a "Toast" without killin the engine

The nobjockey goes by the name of Max Richardson
Read about him here: http://www.bembridge.com/article.asp...ID2=71&ID3=949
(BTW you can make a "toast" and not kill the eingine by wrapping the lanyard around your leg instead of your wrist)

Bloody RIBbers! they're all so unprofessional!

They give us 'real' boaters a bad name when they keep falling off those funny little 'blow-up' boats!
