Advice required please

Hi all,

As far as I am concerned a boat is a device to get me where I want to fish. With this in mind I have bought an Osprey with a Yamaha C115 engine. The boat is manufactured in Zimbabwe and is a tad over 15 foot long. I intend to use it on Lake Kariba and the River Zambezi and whilst the river is pretty calm the lake can get quite a chop on it as it is 40 miles wide and a hundred or so long.

Some people have told me the boat is over powered. at FOT it shows 70 Kilometres p/h (43 MPH) on the gauge. As I am new to boating has anyone any advice to offer ?

Thanks

Carl

I wouldn’t think the boat is over powered as Robert Mugabe is over powering!

So long as you catch plenty of fish and then stow them packed with ice in the bow you should be just fine.
