How much do the repro Alien Cowl's cost? Someone on here makes em right? (I know there is a genuine one for sale, is this the going rate?)

I've seen the one on Gav's boat. It looks good. I don't have an engine yet (sold the opti) but just putting together a few ideas. I have a few bits coming together ...

Tank - no prices on your boatsandoutboards ad. How much for an alien cowl ? (Does the same one fit all V6's, i think so) It's not for an opti.

i'm in the process of making a mould for the face plate. They are going very well indeed, just about to make my first Mariner one! Merc's are flying out....

Cool alien cowl

the price on my boats and outboards ad is for a complete set including liner, s/s plate, clips, graphics, which is £300.
I make them for all V6 Merc/Mariners and also Optimax V6. This requires a different base plate so the cowling clears the alternator.

I have made 2 mariner ones, they dont look so good in metallic silver. white ones are ok but best in black.

Yeah i saw the one mariner on B&O, do you spray them silver or use Met gel?

they are alot of hassel about the same amount as making carbon ones very time consuming
