Alternative to Phantom 28

I have been looking for a Phantom 28 all over the place, and have come to the conclusion that there are no unmolested versions left that can be bought.

Anybody got any ideas for a similar boat that may be suitable for race/pleasure?

Ideally with twin outboards.

Sorry to hijack, but what was tax rebate?! i saw it on ebay a few times looking a bit dubious!

Back to the P28 thing, there's a couple of 28's and 25's that are over here that i'm trying to track down for another user on here... i think he's moved onto a new plan now so i can let you know if you like... there's 'showtime' over here, just been rebuilt with twin 2.5's, it's for sale, trying to contact the owner as we speak

Cheers

Have a read of this thread,

http://www.boatmad.com/forum/showthr...ght=tax+rebate

Runs on its nose, carbed and injected 250 Yams and both g/boxes right handers.
Tax Rebate is a total disaster and has been for sale forever on boats and outboards,
This is a pity coz the P28s still look stunning considering how long ago the design was done.

Taz, as nice as your boat looks, I'm not sure that it's right for my future plans.

T/R was sold and now has matching left and right 250s but the front dipping could be a problem but with some trials might be sorted but not for a race boat

Jon, the money can always be found for the right boat.
