Anyone know what this is?

http://www.boatsandoutboards.co.uk/view/F93753/

Yes, I know its a boat

But what I am after is the make and the possible age?

The current owner is not sure of either

Also, any idea roughly how old the engine would be?

A friend is interested in buying it, and we went to see it tonight.

It looks good enough, engine ran - but needs a service.

Thanks in advance.

Ben

the design of the sprayrails points to it being an old Shakespeare(Ring Hull).

It would be late 70's, early 80's, but it wouldnt be very quick!

in the mid 80s there was a movie with this boat. It was made in Holland. The main-actor was " huub stapel "

This boat was driven by the gangster/murderer fitted with a 140 HP V4 Yammi.
and the guy was hunted by the cop driving in a smaller Shakespeare with 140 Yam.

The movie was called " Verfluchtes Amsterdam "
that means " damned amsterdam "

I think the boat-hunting was around 14 minutes - was great!

best regards!
Andi

Wasn't it a Shakespeare Sigma that was in the film? Good chase around the canals.
