Argo Cat in Paris Part III
After a 3rd year with Argo, i got enough seat time to drive the cat at 80ish kph & be confortable with it. The next step was to buy another recent yammie 90 & work on the setup to go 100ish OR buy an XR2 in the UK & keep it fairly standard & hope for 120. I chose the latter.
But 10 days ago this baby came up & last Sunday I figured since I wanted to be the fastest boat around I had to buy it & I did.
Thanks for any advice from the V6 Merc guys.
Cheers Phil

Is that a bridgeport 2.4 or a older 150 XR2??
Either way should make your Argo FAF!

SP I'll be careful. I had already added 20kgs of sand up front with the 90. With the 240 I'll be adding another 20 & advancing the drivers seat 15-20cm. I'll also give up on the hydraulic lift as I'm currently 5-6 cm above the sponsons not to mention the 14 cm of setback.

I remember Pete Little & Dave Arthur took Del's Argo to Windermere for records week.
Don't remember what speed they got though.

Well top speed isn't everything especially if takes 1 km to get there , I also want kickass acceleration. Will be looking for some 4 blade props soon, are the Yam Drags a good compromise (river use only) ?

I use a 24 and 26 yam drag props on river and sea, awesome acceleration and top end, only downside is some steering torque.
