B19 Question
Does anybody have any experience with racing a 19' Ocke Mannerfelt bat boat? I'm looking at buying one and don't know if I should go with the tried and tested Yamaha/Tohatsu 90 or the newer E-Tec 115 high output route - the boat will be used in offshore racing. How do you think the extra hp/weight of the 115ho will compare to the lighter/less hp of a (modified) 90? And any guesstimates on speed? I know the lightweight B23 with 115ho (that sold on here) did 62mph so that's what I'm guessing for now.
Cheers

Or, what about a 150 high output on the 19' bat boat?
Too much weight/horsepower?

B19 in Sweden
Swede Ulrik Ingvarsson did +72 mph with B19 and Yammie 90. That was a lightweight boat though. It ran 64 mph average speed during the first three races.

Both my friend, and since the question was about B19 I aswered B19.
But Ulriks performance with the B23 is even more impressive.

With both running a 150 High Output who do you think would win between a B19 vs P19 (assuming the same driver skills).

B19 any day of the week. The B19 is extremely fast but it is all about finding the right balance. And from what I have heard and seen the B19 is not the easiest boat to handle.

B19
Sorry guys, I remembered incorrectly. It was Per Oscarsson who had the first B19 that ran +70 mph. Ulrik had a couple of really quick B23, two of them built for 1.3 litre.
