Bad Boy 717
Just to let you all know that Scott AKA BAD BOY on here has broken his ankle during the Weston Ski race last weekend.
One foot came out of the bindings whilst skiing between 60-70mph.
This left the other foot to twist around with 7ft of ski on it.
He is currently at Weston general hospital waiting to be transfered to Bristol.
It would appear that he will be kept in until the 26th when his operation is scheduled (bloody NHS).
Best of luck slim hope you make a full recovery

pretty nurses . . .
Evening all, thanks to the wonders of the modern world I am laying in the BRI with my laptop connected to the tinternet, thanks to Tim Clark
This liitle "break" in hospital should help with my diet plans
Seeing the doc tom morning, ankle still swollen. Talk of poss "frame work" before the op on the 26th. Will find out tom, as Cye said I am keen to get sorted and on the mend.
Am in ward 4, abusive calls via mobile are ok as usual
Thanks for your your thoughts and kind words

I haven't quite got my head round that pic.
Does the whole frame bolt directly to the ski or does the clamp shaped bit come off and it's just the bolts that go into a modified binding?
Good to see you've still got your sense of humour though. Good luck.

sitrep . . .
finally out and back home 2nd op went well, leg looked like a side of rolled pork!!! 8 inch plate and a load of screws in place. Have cast on for next two weeks, then removed to see how things have progressed. Next stage boot and physio, approx 6 - 8 weeks for full weight baring
Thanks to everyone who visited, text, sent cards, passed on their get well wishes. A great big thanks to the Dowlings, Clarks, KCE, Siggy and welsh Pete who helped me with supplies and ferrying me and the boat around. Also to Garin for being so gentle when cutting my binding off in the water
So Stone . . . .

Sitrep
Visited the surgeon at the BRI yesterday. Thumbs up, all healing ok, going to have some cracking scars! Back to see him in 6 weeks (ish) for another review. In the meantime physio, first appointment in Yeovil on Monday. Hopefully should be on two legs sept/october.
Lost around 2in of muscle on my left thigh and about an 1in of my calf, for those that have seen my legs will know this is alot as they not the biggest!
My aim is get to a reasonable level of fitness by Christmas and to race again next year
