boat roll
Mailed the guy through Boatmad. Both guys were O.K. but one guy no longer races.
They was running a 4 blade 14.5 X 32 and running about 90, just caught another boat's wake and she went over. Ripped off one wing but she is back in the water running. They have been very helpful to me, with running my B23 with 250 HO.

What does your B23 go like with an Evinrude 250HO?
I dont mean to cause offence in any way at all but i would have thought that motor is too heavy and long for the B23?
I thought B23's were designed and built for a lightweight 15 inch mercury XR2 (159kg) and the 250HO is 20 inch leg and 240kg - id be interested to know how it runs?
Have you had to strengthen your transom?

250 H.o.
Big V, the 250 H.O. is 2Kg more than the 225 H.O. as you can see in the video they run well. My first B23 (D13) used to run a 280 with 260 electronics and ran low 90's in the calm. Yes the 20 in mid is a little issue but with the transom jack it works.
Foolish, Matts old B75 has a 150 H.O. I own both as well as one P21's running XR2 motors, the pic in my profile is my son's P21 that I help sponsor. P21 run low 70's and the B75 now FB16 runs high 70's.
If anyone out there has mounted a low water pickup on any E-Tec I would love to know what was done.

With the new HO's low water pickup is standard isnt it ?
Like a high-performing SLE (Straight Leading Edge) gearcase with nose-cone pick-ups that significantly increases water flow to the engine and provides increased cooling ability and capacity. High-quality gears with super pure, extra-tough metallurgy. And stiffer engine mounts for superior handling and control at high speeds. If you’re looking for that extra bit of oomph, this is it. No matter the application, the H.O. series gives you the maximum performance you're looking for.

Chris, many thanks I will contact him.
Foolish, my stock 150 e-tec (3 years old) on boston whaler has holes on the nose, but the 150 H.O. I purchased late 2010 does not. Maybe I got screwed as when at the Miami boat show this year the 150 H.O. on display had the holes.
Pic is Matts old boat.
