Looks nice, although I prefere the ones from rex marine that sit around the complete top of the battery. Also, the cross member looks very close to the terminals, is it clear anodised btw??

Hiya Dan,

The crossmember is protected from the terminals by the raised part of plastic they sit on. With the design of the base, the crossmsmber would have to become so loose that the battery would be likely to exit the cage by the time they could touch the terminals.
This was only a quick design done as I knew he didn't want to spend a fortune, I prefer things to be simple, effective and as light as possible. I see covering the whole battery top as ott personally but obviously it could easily be done on request.
This one isn't anodized, it's bare ally at the moment for the customer to do what he wishes with. Production ones would be anodised, powdercoated, sprayed etc as the customer wishes though I aim for us to keep a stock of black and clear anodised ones.

Cheers, James
