Black max 135 battery

Hi

I have just bought a Haines/Sheltland 1900s with a mercury black max 135 which has been "carbed" out to a 155 apparently

My question is (since at present it has some low life car battery on it) what Ah battery should be fitted and what sort of price is resonable to pay for one, I was thinking around the £100/150 mark

Many thanks

Gel Batteries like the Max900 are perfect for powerboating, sealed waterproof and within your stated price range.

Thanks for that topgun

The only thing I can't seem to find is what Ah it should be,

The manual says:-

The manufacturer recommends a battery with
a minimum rating of 465 cold cranking amps
(CCA) or 350 marine cranking amps (MCA)

How does this equate to Ah, which is what batteries normally show? even the marine batteries use Ah and not CCA or MCA or are those old terms?

Maybe I should look closer, but they are generally advertised under Ah

Going by the battery stops, its going to be a big one
