Try GJW Direct - they took over RA Carter my original agent who was very good, only ones who would insure fast boats.

What are we considering a good price? I'm paying £260 for fully comp on a P21 with 200HP including road cover. I had to value it in three seperate chunks, Boat , engine and trailer. Total came to £4,800. I had trouble finding a company that would cover it, and some were asking for a survey by a chartered surveyor

was with RA Carter (no choice cus of ski racing) for ages had to value it as 3 things, hull, trailer and motor. unfortunately had a claim about 3 years ago as i hooked it and ripped the floor out, no problems with claim and had the go ahead to repair it within 2 days and the cheque within 2 weeks, always real helpful people on the phone etc

Not all they wont cover the Midas as it's too Quick if your honest, If you are dishonest and lie about the speed your get cover but invalidate the policy if they find out!! & it's Design speed.

I did have a similar problem but I spoke directly to clive carter and he went out and found me an insurance policy that would do the job.

But I suppose your top speed is a bit more than mine tho'. How fast you telling them?

100 mph
Funny thing is it's based on Design speed so you could have a 40 foot skater with a 4hp outboard and it's too quick in theory Not .....
