Yea great place for boating.
The slipways massive and loads of trailer parking.
Some really nice pubs up the rivers,Shame about the Pandora Inn though that was one of the best.
When to the sillies from Falmouth a few years ago in me old man's 7 metre Rib,took a bit to long but well worth it.i think its 70 mile each way.

Is there a high speed area up the river at all? despite it not being far away I havent ventured down to cornwall with the boat really, I quite fancy booking up a campsite (waiting to hear from Bob were for the admirals cup one ie) for a weekend away with the tent here and there if anyone else fancies making a weekend of it, get a few of us together???

Falmouth is my local haunt and there's loads of places you can get to by water, plenty of camping and secluded beaches for BBQ and overnight camp .St mawes has good pubs for food, rising sun on the quay side ,Mylor Marina has castaways pub ,fal has 3 marinas and maybe 15 pubs 20 restaurants within 10 mins walk,if you head out of carrick roads you have loads of small fishing villages along the coastline !! Ps even though the Truro riv is only 8 knot it's well worth running up at high tide to Truro, there's ships moored up the river and tree lined banks perfect for river racing ( below 8 knots of corse )
