Boats and Jetskis website

Guys - Boats and Jetskis website is now live http://www.boatsandjetskis.co.uk It is aimed solidly at the marine marketplace should you be selling or buying. During the initial launch period over the next 3 months all listing go FREE. If you have any boats, engines, jetskis, ringos, electronics, chandlery, wetsuits, etc for sale now is the time to take advantage, its free, all ads are administrated first before uploading in order to eliminate the scammers.

Hope you find it useful

PS first blood goes to Gav

Just a quick reminder, if you have listings that are now sold could you please update your listings description to SOLD or remove them. New listings always welcome, boats, chandlery, engines, etc all go FREE

An Idea:

To avoid the site becoming bogged with 'sold' items, it maybe worth having a monthly renew or cancel reminder to people email accounts.

My opinion is, once the item is sold then people may not be bothered to cancel them. On the other hand they may get annoyed with the persistant contact from buyers so might just cancel it.

Just a thought.

The ads rotate out on an 8 week basis, this can be set to whatever length of time at admin level, when the site gets a lot more ads it will be set to 4 weeks. A reminder is sent to the seller when their advert is going to expire with the choice of renewal or lapse.

Some of the trade are very responsive to the website and maintain their listing on a regular basis whereas some just do not want to join the internet trend and continue to pay to advertise in print media. Which is a shame with B & J you cannot get any cheaper than free. And thats the way it will stay for standard classified listings.

Overal we are very pleased with the feedback, kind coments, and support.
For this I thank you all.

MMmmnn, seems a little devious! Rather economical with the facts weren't we!

Well done Matt Yorke 'P.I.'
