British team New Donzi

According to P1 the Team Konrad that entered as a wild card in P1 Super Sport last year has gone to a Donzi for this season, was the previous Velocity the boat that did the CTC last year based at drivers, so has someone new purchased the Velocity or are they the proud owners of 2 boats now
They gave DS a ride Geriatric on this forum a blast wonder if he's still shaking

http://www.powerboatp1.com/news/en/312/article.aspx

On the engine front I thought the Merc 525hp were the highest allowed but it states engines not yet confirmed and last years winners are changing from 525 to Ilmore, I am sure team extreme spoke about P1 wishing to keep hp limited to the 525 and no more

The velocity was up for sale last year no idea if it sold.
The Donzi was at the CTC last year as a pleasure boat while messing around the solent a drive fell off.
The Donzi had been re-engined a year earlier.

You should spectate more

I know I need to get out more

My highlight of the CTC was watching through a pair of high powered bins from Bournemouth that still left the boats looking like a speck in a bath tub

Anyhow who knows, hopefully this year I may check out the CTC sounds good so far, will have to try to get involved in a poker run also sometime

What do they say to much work not enough play makes Jack a dull boy

You missed your chance their Barry you could of added a Velocity to your stable of racecraft

The 39ft Velocity is still up for sale at around £120,000 aparently in race ready order.

They have purchased a brand new Donzi just for this years P1 - so I am told and their base is in Belguim which is where they do all their testing and rigging. Geriatic knows more about this team as he has been over there talking to them.

As their is no P1 around the time of the CTC hopefully many teams including the new Donzi team will do this race to support, and I really hope to be their this year and if I could help with anything I would even if that means cleaning the barnacles of Barry's hull

Barry why not that one in particular, was that not the boat that ran well last CTC although suggested new I recall a few saying it was re-painted and defo not new, although compared to the Dragon boat that did so well that's around the same money I know which boat I would prefer to race

A course in English for cfun

Shall we have a whip round for a few private English lessons for cfun. Anyway, the Donzi is fitted with two Sterling 600 engines in a staggered co nfiguration through Arneson drives. It is Kim Collins leisure hull.

From my unpublished book -

Have they changed it then? It didn't used to be staggered (despite the long 'staggered' style engine hatch).
