Kor; this is fun but I'm going to stay out of it.
But as a thought arn't we trying to compare apples & bananas here
2 totally different boats for different things. Depending on where you run and on the conditions depends on the outcome.
We all pays our money and makes our choice for what we want, but you two guys are at the opposite ends of each spectrum.

Just a thought, but can I come an watch !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wot ya go and do that for? you're in danger of turning this discussion serious!

For the record, I'm not sure about the boats being at opposite ends of the spectrum, in theory they're both trying to do a similar thing, one is just a bit bigger (and a lot heavier)than the other.

Seriously now, my money says Gavs boat will run upper 60's, mebbe 70 as a std setup, so top end is gonna be very similar.

The original Haines Signature brochure said that with a standard 200 Merc they clocked their 1900 at 70mph so it should be close.
Mine only does about 60 but it's so heavy, I reckon Shetland mixed concrete with the glass when they built it .

Nah would anybody take it serious!!!
But All I would chip it is Gav would have the legs from Tower Bridge to about margate you would have the leg from there to Brighton.

"Horses for Courses"

To really chuck some petrol on the fire, it aint all about top end on a offshore boat, it how long you can hang onto your max and how well it will handle.

Far too serious now, but you know where I'm coming from
What about the loser has to fit TUBES!!!!!!!!!!
