Buyers Beware

Hello all

Im sure you have all seen this boat but please see link below

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/preditor-p...item3a7edbc639

Thanks to the guys on this forum I was informed that this boat is as ill fated as the titanic, has almost sunk and got more cracks than a thai knocking shop.

Sadly after a late night bid I won it for £299......bargain I thought. Sadly not.
After asking a few questions on this forum I discovered 'as mentioned' earlier that this boat was a dog and had almost sunk yet in the prior listing was being sold as a sound boat.
After questioning the seller with this info I received no response but did receive an unpaid item mark on my Ebay account.
This is now up for sale under a different seller.

Please do not buy this unless you wish to replicate a seen from the Perfect Storm or like dodgy sellers taking your hard earned cash

I trust that you raised a "dispute" with Ebay and Paypal - Sale of Goods Act and SOGA hub - the office of fair trading is a good place to have a look around!

Surely you can't have expected more for 299 quid? Ok doesn't sound like the seller was honest in describing it but price usually speaks volumes.

hi,
I've seen this hull before a while ago.... never took any notice as too big for me as I like sub 21ft'ers...

Saw it first when I was researching about sharps! last time the info was limited

only my opinion though

cheers Josh

I really didnt expect to win at £299. I thought it would go for a lot more. And for £299 no I didnt expect alot but the item was not as described.
My point was thanks to the members of Boatmad I was able to get info on the boat almost instantly which is great.

But just to say, if there are any 21ft un sunk phantoms out there for £299 then im your man lol

thats assuming the boat in the ad is actually the predator and no mould mods were done to the sharpe. but there have been a few threads in this subject.
