Calling all racers

The Sports Boat and Rib magazine are having a show at Ocean Village Marina on the 22nd and 23rd of May 2010, and we would like to invite some race boats along, so if you want to promote your sponsors or just show off your boat to the public then please send me an email to cookee@btconnect.com and I'll put you on the list - we have a limited amount of space, so it will be first come first served of course!

Here is a link to The Show

The magazine is also having a bit of a relaunch at the London show this month, and I will be there on the 12th to the 14th if anyone fancies meeting up - the magazines stand is near the Guiness stand - Genius

You can bring the Hunton on the basis that you start the twin V8's up on a regular basis

I'll put you down - I should have said I will need the overall length of each boat in the email as we do have a limit.

Bob how much room do you need? I assume you'll bring the new Bernico? You won't be required to start that one on a regular basis

Thank you everyone who has posted here and emailed - the BPRC will be there with Cinzano and Thunderbolt as well, so we should have a good variety of boats for the public to drool over!

I think we're getting close to the limit now, but we should be able to find you a slot. I need email addresses please and as much detail on the boats as possible such as the following:

make of boat and engines
number, type (inboard/outboard petrol/diesel) and size of engines
top speed
drives
history
competition history
owners and crew

Thank you all!

Just back from a weeks skiing and intend to sort out what goes where this week - can you send me an email with the overall length and more details please? I think we would only be able to fit one in at the most, but I'll see.

Latest update for everyone coming whether with a boat or just to visit - the show's website is here: Show Website and I have the following on the list for turning up with their boats:

Will Nurse – Cougar Cat
Scott Younger – Phantom 28
Ian May – Garmin / Hunton
Ashleigh Foulser / Backdraft
Biffer – Gee / Souter twin diesels
Barry Deakin Hunton Rib
John JBP - F400
Steve Mutz Nutz - Phantom 25
Ed Pedley – Honda 225
Bob Mcarthy – Bernico Yamaha

You guys will all be getting emails very soon, it's going to be a great show and it's in Ocean Village in Southampton - the best thing - it's free! If you're coming down from Drivers turn right and it's on your right - VHF channel 80 for a berth.

I will be there for the weekend and it would be great to put some names to faces.

ps it's on the 22nd to the 23rd of May!

Yes : By Boat
Proceed up Southampton Water keeping clear of all commercial shipping. At Weston Shelf green buoy, near the junction of the Rivers Itchen and Test, keep to starboard up the Itchen. Ocean Village is about 1 mile further north to port, opposite the old Vosper yard and just short of the Itchen Bridge. It is essential to call on VHF Ch 80 or by mobile for a vacant berth.

The website is here: Link

See you there!
