Question Can you help? Boat model identification?

Hello Guys!

Nice Froum i found here with great Deep-Vee Boat pics - Great!
I am new here and i am a Fletcher-Fanatic from Hamburg , germany! I like the classic ones from 80s till begin of 90s.

I have a question:

A friend has bought a boat , but he doesnt know who was the builder :-(
I think it looks like a Fletcher-clone , but i am not sure. Fletcher was very popular here in germany. Boats like RING or PHANTOM or very seldom here. I saw only ONE Phantom 21 in my life here in Germany .
His boat has a deep vee hull , and is narrow.

Here is a picture

another pic

I think it is an english boat , but i am not sure - it also looks like a small " Ring " or something.
I hope you can help me!

Thanks in advance!
And best greetings to you all!

Andi

Hi Andi, welcome to boatmad.

I don't think your friends boat is a Fletcher of any sort, or a Ring, I would have said maybe a 'Marina', but there are some guys on here who will know for sure.

We have another member from germany, who has a Phantom 20, in fact his username is 'phantom 20', and he has a section in our readers rides gallery with a few photos and a video that you can see here:

http://media.boatmad.com/gallery/v/r...ides/phantom20

I hope you get the answers you're looking for, and again, welcome to boatmad.

Its really funny! I always look for some downloadable boating stuff and i found " Screamandfly " - videos - And there was a video of Phantom20s boat! And now i have a lot of stuff to view from you!

By the way:

this is my boat:
It is only 6 meters , but goes great!I like the roughwater performance!
My brother has the same boat with 225 HP! You can check out our galleries - our website is also in english.

My Fletcher

My first boat was a Fletcher Arrowsport 155 GTO and thats what got me hooked on boats!
Mate still has it but wants to put about a 115hp on it which isnt a good idea considering its only rated upto 75hp.

Nice looking boat there mate.

Boat looks a bit like a Plancraft Sabre. If you look at there website at www.plancraft.co.uk there is a boat history section which has some old photos of Sabre's on it.

I think the Sabre is based on a Crusader hull (not 100% sure) so maybe one of these.....

doesnt look like a simms, they usually have a very unique hull. Never seen a plancraft like that, although just looking at the hull, maybe it is a bit crusader/sabre like?
