Used to race Karts at the track there in the 80's, did a 3 hour enduro single handed and did really well to come out 2 pounds under weight - reckon I lost that in sweat!

Is the track still there?

Hi John,
Sadly the nice little cart track had to go to make way for the toll road that ironically hardly anyone uses.

I remember Ivor as a fantastic place to be as a child some great memories the smell of the exhaust smoke still gets me on the odd occasion I get a whiff of it now. Even though I was very young I still remember the day mic died one of my first memories of mortality I guess. If any one is interested just last night by coincidence I was looking at a photo of my dad (nick mawby) with the rest of the Jetcem team that included mic on the web site www.fastonwater.co.uk the picture is half way down on the Brian grimshaw drivers profile page. I think the photo was taken at Ivor. Apologise for the spelling of Ivor
