Anyone have any idea as to how I can get pit passes for this event? Currently not a member of any club or Association, but will be over for that event. Prepared to offer assistance at event should it be required.

A pass, at a class 1 event? You´d better start prayin´!!!! Or go down the old Freelance photographer route. Trust me. Been there, done that..............
