I will try and scan and post some more when I get the chance. There must be quite a number of people out there with lots of race progs. The 1976 prog I think was part of Powerboat and Waterskiing. The 74 programme is going with me to the grave!!

I was in the 74 race in Delta Lady but we were a late entry so didn't appear in the race. I know it's a cheek but can you post toscan to me electronically.

Phantom just open up the 'search' option and put in Miss Embassy - you'll come up with a number of threads with info and pics!

Miss Embassy Scrap Value
Ummm, the hull may have been tupperware, but the alloy tanks were a work of art to Vosper standard.Swaged body with bellmouthed tank diaphragms, rolled boundaries with quarter sphere plating in corners, and Vospers own `t` bar section to take the baffle plates.None of your squared corner capers thank you.Sight gauges fitted as well.
Of course a Rolls Royce Gnome Turbine could tempt a steptoe ,assuming he knew what he was looking at.I should think the Hovercraft engineer Sopwith had on board to look after it would cringe at how it ended up.

Fellow old school fans, I have managed to obtain some photographs of the old Miss Embassy raceboat that was forfeited to the authorities in Gibraltar some 25 years ago. The photographs are around 3 years old. The identity of the hull is confirmed since if you look closely on the shot of the starboard bow you can see traces of the two noughts from the race number 400. Graham also confirms it to be the same boat since the hull had chine modifications to try to increase speed. Plus Phantom666 stated on here that the hull had been bought by his step dad and renamed See You Later. It looks as though the hull was rigged as a triple – the location of the drives look to be starboard and central with the port out of shot. Also there are 3 throttles/sets of gauges. Phantom – do you have more pictures??

yep thats miss embassy all right! Great pics, neva seen those be4. I'm not sure if it was sold for scraps or not anymore. I was told they were destroyed much over 3 years ago, but if ur pics are three years old then im not sure anymore!! also UNO Pobjoy Mint is supposed to be with her! I'll go over to where the boat is in ur pic and check if it's still there. If not i'll ask if the authorities have anything on it!

Miss Embassy Pics
Looks like Mr.Fuller and kitten friends have been assigned another project to build a Gas Turbine hooker using their experience gained in the TV scrapyard.I`ve no doubt it will run ,but how quick is debatable.

Old wood boats
HTS was sort successful!Won the odd London - Monte Carlo race as well as numerous domestic races squeezed in between a class 2 world championship.Look in the Multimedia section and search for HTS,I Like it,Apache. All the same boat.Built at Souter in 69 for Round Britain race and Jaffa Juice also in 1972 for London Monte Carlo. This boat had some success but was a heavy rough water boat.Nothing wrong with wood, one of the lightest materials to work from and can be repaired easily.Production runs are another game though.
HTS started off with 2 x Leyland diesels = 400hp on shaft drives and ended up with 2 x Ford Sabres = 730hp on sterndrives.
Jaffa Juice had 4 x Mercury Outboards = 560hp which went to 600hp later.
